MISSION, GOALS, AND COMMITMENTS:
MISSION STATEMENT:
To fulfill the Great Commission given by the Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19 by making disciples and establishing faithful men and women able to teach others also (II Timothy 2:2) in every forest area of every nation.
GOALS:
The goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and a sincere faith. I Timothy 1:5
To equip foresters and natural resource managers to share Christ effectively with fellow professionals, to disciple new believers effectively to know Christ and make Him known, and to serve mankind as good stewards of God’s forests.
To maintain forests as places of refuge and meditation for the persecuted and oppressed until Jesus comes again.
To create working forests that supply the needs of people with wood products, clean water, abundant wildlife, and forage to the glory of God.
COMMITMENTS:
CFF is committed to the development of Christian character in the lives of natural resource professionals. We believe that professional excellence and confidence are the results of a transformed Christian life. Jesus Christ changes the lives of men and women by bringing them into a real and eternal relationship with God. Only He can do that. We are committed to obediently follow Him in His plan and purpose. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to God the Father but through me” (John 14:6). The development of Christian life and character comes through the study and understanding of the Bible, God’s inerrant Word. “All scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction and for training in righteousness” (II Timothy 3:16). Fellowship with others who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ is also important in the growth of Christian character, because the Christian life is vital, dynamic, and something to be shared with others. To that end, we encourage believers to meet, study, pray, and encourage one another where ever they are. We are also committed to telling others who do not know Jesus about what He has done in our lives and what he wants to do for them and how he wants to bless them. This is done by serving others in love and meeting needs as well as by explaining how a person can believe and receive Jesus as their Savior and Lord.
